Course Description
A study in the use of professional software for developing interactive multimedia applications and publishing on the Internet and/or CD/ROM-DVD. Student teams assess needs or problems and design multimedia solutions with emphasis on the production process: concept, design, content development, product testing, and publishing.
Course Learning Outcomes
- Develop media-based projects in a team modeled from a professional development team.
- Analyze the needs of a problem for an interactive electronic solution
- Utilize the needs analysis to create graphics, audio, video, and animation
- Compose scripts and storyboards that clearly represent production objectives.
- Design and develop a user-friendly navigation system.
- Demonstrate understanding of the development process to project completion.
- Publish an effective media-based project on the Internet and/or CD-ROM and DVD.
- Analyze completed projects in terms of functionality, aesthetics, design, and content.
