Course Description
A study and practice in the use of professional desktop publishing software. Students will apply the principles of typography and graphic design to develop documents which combine text, graphics, and photographs on a printed page for personal and business use.

Course Learning Outcomes
  • Design and develop documents containing text and graphics to deliver specific information to a specific audience.
  • Apply understanding of typography as used in document design.
  • Demonstrate the use of professional level desktop publishing software.
  • Communicate ideas through printed documents that contain text and images with attention to page layout and document formatting.
  • Utilize terminology specific to typography and the print industry.
