Prerequisite: none A basic understanding of the internet is assumed.

Course Description
An introduction to developing and delivering streaming media over the internet. Students will apply the latest compression schemes to digital audio and video files, designing media for delivery at specific bandwidths. Students will work individually and in groups to design, create, and publish a web site to display projects developed in class.

Course Objectives

Analyze audio and video files for streaming suitability.
Determine the best streaming compression for a given file.
Create streaming media for delivery at various bandwidths.
Publish streaming projects on a web page.
