This degree will prepare individuals for office technology/support positions in both private and public agencies. Upon completion, students could become: software consultants, PC specialists, training and technology coordinators, computer lab assistants, help desk operators, administrative assistants, administrative secretaries, or executive secretaries.

Training includes how to operate application software used in the business world, with an emphasis on word processing, spreadsheets, database management, business graphics, communication, organization, time management, and team building skills. For optimum results, students should have the ability to keyboard by touch.

This new A.S. Degree has been designed to combine Administrative Assistant and Computer Applications curricula into a new and exciting degree option for students.

Business and Administrative candidates will be provided with the necessary software application experience and Software Application candidates will obtain the required business emphasis. This combined effort will help each candidate succeed in today's technological marketplace.

  • Computer programmer aides $33,200 - $63,700
  • Administrative services manager $29,000 - $60,100
  • Clerical/administrative support $22,100 - $37,100
  • Central office operators $16,700 - $26,900
  • Bookkeeping, acct., auditing clerks $17,300 - $26,700
  • Data entry clerks $14,500 - $21,200
